Ooredoo Maldives introduces special offers for Hajj pilgrims.
The telecom service provider has introduced a Saudi IDD package and a "Hajj SIM:; specific for pilgrims who will be visiting Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage this year.
The Saudi IDD package is available for MVR 150 and comes with 100 Saudi IDD minutes, and a social data pack of 1GB for Viber and WhatsApp. The pack is available for both Ooredoo Postpaid and Prepaid customers.
To activate the pack, customers can send an SMS with the code "SD150" to the number 1111.
The newly introduced pack offers Ooredoo customers visiting Mecca this year a discount of up to 90 percent. Additionally, the SIM includes affordable offers for roaming voice, data, and SMS services.
Postpaid customers have the option to upgrade their existing SIMs to "Hajj SIMs" by visiting Ooredoo Experience Centers, or by subscribing for the SIM through the self-care portal at my.ooredoo.mv.
Customers who are upgrading to the "Hajj SIM" can switch to the "Automatic" setting in the SIM Application Settings before embarking on their journey to activate roaming services.
After activating the Hajj SIM, customers can switch back to a normal SIM with either a Prepaid or a bill-controlled Postpaid plan.
