Glonet Education Fair to kick off on Thursday

The 29th edition of the Glonet Education fair will kick off in both Male’ and Addu cities on Thursday, February 23.

The Education fair will be held at Meerumaa Event Hall on Thursday and Friday between 5 pm and 9 pm in Malé City, and at Addu City High School on Saturday from at Andover High School on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Glonet said the fair is designed to provide information to both students and their parents about academic courses and opportunities for those who wish to study abroad.

Attendees will receive full information about international academic opportunities including details on course fees, curriculum details, and other information. The fair is also an opportunity for Maldivian institutes to strengthen ties with foreign universities.

Students and parents will also receive information about courses with scholarship discounts, visa arrangements and accommodation in addition to submitting application forms and acquiring placement letter details.

The fair will assist with registration for the courses and provide career guidance counseling for students who need the service.

Some of the universities participating in the Glonet Education Fair will offer scholarships covering 10 percent to 50 percent of the course fee. Students who wish to apply for the scholarship can submit their application through the Glonet website.
