Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the development of the new OPD facility in the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH).
The Ministry of Health contracted MTCC to complete the project, which involved developing new consultation, treatment, and procedure rooms along with a nursing station. The new facility also includes a 6,189-square-foot waiting lounge with a queuing system display and CCTV camera systems.
The project value is a total of MVR 20.2 million, MTCC said.
KRH is the busiest hospital in the northern region, with over 72,000 people receiving service from the establishment. Locals from Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani atolls seek treatment from this hospital. The Maldives' northernmost city Kulhudhuffushi has a population of over 10,000, according to the recent census statistics.
