Funadhoo hands over powerhouse to Fenaka

The powerhouse run by Shaviyani Atoll Funadhoo public has been handed over to Fenaka Corporation.

Fenaka Corporation officially took over management of Funadhoo powerhouse effectively on Wednesday, August 24.

Funadhoo public that had managed the powerhouse for 36 years entrusted the utility outlet management to Fenaka showing testament to the public's trust on the corporation, said the utility provider.

Fenaka assures with the new management under the company's helm, the powerhouse will be taken on a transformative progress. The utility provider affirmed commitment to make the outlet contemporarily up to date.

To ensure that the utility outlet holds capacity to power the island without interruptions, Fenaka acquired and dispatched two power generators; a 600 kW unit and an 800 kW unit, to the island.

The company reports it was currently installing both generators at the powerhouse.
