Two resorts owned by Universal to be sold

Universal Enterprises is geared to sell two of its resorts to a US company.

Universal and Starwood have stakes in Kaafu Atoll Fauranafushi and Alifu Alifu Atoll Fesdhoo resort. Starwood is run by the world's leading hotel chain, Marriot International.

Sheraton Maldives currently operates Full Moon Resort in K. Furanafushi and W Maldives Resort is operated in AA. Fesdhoo.

Tourism Ministry has announced to communicate any debt issues for these islands. According to the announcement, any debt or issue regarding these two islands must be communicated to the Ministry in writing or through email within 14 days.
