FSM's Hulhumale' petrol shed opens for 24 hours

Fuel Services Maldives (FSM) Hulhumale' pump station and petrol shed will be opened 24 hours a day.

Managing Director of FSM Mohamed Gasam told "Mihaaru" today that the number of people seeking services from FSM's "Easy Fuel 3" has increased since people began living in Hulhumale' Phase two.

Therefore, the management has decided to open a 24-hour petrol shed in Hulhumale' to make it easier for residents to access services, he said.

Gasam said that the petrol shed will be open for 24 hours a day starting from the first day of Ramadan.

"The queue of the petrol shed has increased since people have started living in the second phase. Therefore, our management will be able to have a 24-hour service facility in Hulhumale' as well. This was decided after a lot of monitoring and we felt that the change needed to be brought about," Gasam said.

"There is a heavy use of vehicles during the month of Ramadan compared to any other month. Therefore, we chose to start this service this month. After Ramadan, services will always be available 24 hours a day."

In addition to the petrol shed, FSM also operates a pump station for speedboats in Hulhumale'. Gasam said that the station will also be open for 24 hours from Ramadan onwards.

"With this change, even if the speedboats from resorts come to fuel in the morning or evening, it will be very easily accessible," he said.

FSM's "Easy fuel- 1" in Male' City will be open 24 hours a day, but "Easy Fuel-3" will be closed from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm during Ramadan. The MD said that this change allows employees to fast with their families and offer Tarawees prayers.

Petrol sheds in Male' city will be closed from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm every Friday.
