George Corbin's book on the Maldives tourism, titled "Two Thousand Enchanted Islands" has been officially released.

The book was written by George Corbin himself in collaboration with photographer Francesco Barion, and is believed to have been conceived back in 1972 when Corbin visited the Maldives with the country's very first tour group.

Although the book had not been officially released back then, the latest official release comes with updated information about the island nation.

While speaking at the book unveiling ceremony, Corbin spoke about the fondness he has towards the Maldivian people and its culture. He went on to add that it feels like home for him when visiting the island nation.

The current Minister of Health, Ahmed Naseem who has been a key player in the Maldives tourism industry commented that the book's release is in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the country's tourism industry.
