Local telecom company Dhiraagu introduced its IPTV service, DhiraaguTV, to the island of Muli, Meemu Atoll, on Wednesday.
DhiraaguTV features a range of high quality, entertainment bundles with over 100 channels on its fully digitised network, available for viewing on all devices including television, smartphone, or tablet.
“With this new expansion, we are pleased to offer more communities the chance to experience the latest entertainment in high quality via DhiraaguTV", said Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, the Senior Manager Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu.
"We will continue our work to bring more variety and provide a superior experience to our customers".
The first and only IPTV service provider in Maldives, DhiraaguTV has expanded its coverage to 73 percent of national households across 54 islands.
Dhiraagu is also collaborating with a private network to introduce DhiraaguTV to an island that lacked fixed broadband services.
Dhiraagu assured that its DhiraaguTV remains a key priority of the company, vowing to keep bringing quality entertainment to the Maldivian community using the best of technology.
