Bank of Maldives (BML) on Monday announced the bank's new Board of Directors with Sana Mansoor as its Chairman.
The main bank of Maldives stated that the appointments were confirmed at the board meeting held after BML's 2019 Annual General Meeting.
The directors nominated by the government and appointed to the board:
- Sana Mansoor
- Timothy Sawyer
- Aishath Noordeen
- Juwairiya Saeed
- Najeem Ibrahim Zakariyya
- Hussain Thoufeeq Ali
- Abdulla Hassan
The directors elected by BML's public shareholders:
- Mohamed Abdul Sattar
- Ibrahim Mohamed
- Ahmed Mohamed
BML held its annual AGM in a virtual ceremony earlier the same day, where CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer highlighted the bank's accomplishments during the "financially strong" year of 2019.
Sawyer also stressed on BML's swift response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and assured that the bank remained committed to supporting Maldivians during these unprecedented challenging times.
