Coco Collection will reopen the doors of its Maldivian properties, Coco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, for guests on August 1.

In a press release, the luxury resort brand assured that the two islands will ensure the health and safety of all visitors with enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

Coco Collection revealed that its new operational standards are being vetted by Bureau Veritas, a leading company in Testing, Inspections and Certification, to ensure maximum efficacy in preventing the spread of infections, including COVID-19. The team of experts is led by Dr Amesh Adalja, Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security & fellow with the Infectious Diseases Society of America; and Ruth Petran, Ph.D., CFS, Senior Corporate Scientist, Food Safety and Public Health, for Ecolab.

In addition, Coco Collection announced the Coco Safe Pledge ahead of the resorts' reopening. The Safe Pledge comprises extensive safety and health guidelines for guests and associates, reviewing all operational aspects of guests' experiences. They include physical distancing, mandatory digital temperature screening upon arrival, provision of personal safety welcome packs, and digital communication wherever possible, among other measures.

Coco Collection assured its commitment to the Pledge, noting that it combined the brand's dedication to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

"Our top priority remains the safety and health of Coco Collection’s valued guests and team", said Hussain Hilmy, the Board Director of Coco Collection.

“Between the Coco Safe Pledge and Bureau Veritas Safe Guard & Hygiene Excellence Certification, we remain committed to the implementation of new standards of safety".

Launched in 2005, Coco Collection has since won several accolades for its five-star properties on oco Bodu Hithi and Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, which embody "true boutique luxury" in tandem with traditional Maldivian and ambiance.
