Local telecommunications company Dhiraagu announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held virtually this year.
Set to commence at 1115 hrs on June 11, Dhiraagu will hold its 31st AGM online as a precautionary measure amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In an invitation for stakeholders to participate in this year's AGM, Dhiraagu stated that the meeting will be conducted via the online general meeting management system 'Fahivote', created by Maldives Security Depository Pvt Ltd.
The agenda for this year's AGM includes electing a member from general stakeholders to Dhiraagu's Board of Directors, approving the company's dividend and distribution policy for its interim dividend, as well as appointing KPMG as the external auditor.
All Dhiraagu shareholders who are registered as such before June 3 are eligible to participate and vote in the AGM. Dhiraagu has invited stakeholders to register online for the meeting at the following link:
Earlier this year, the company decided to propose MVR 912 million, at a rate of MVR 12 per share, as dividend at the AGM. MVR 314.6 million of the total accounts for interim dividend, to be distributed at a rate of MVR 4.14 per share, while the remaining MVR 597 million will be distributed at a rate of MVR 7.86 as final dividend.
