Ooredoo Maldives announced Tuesday that voting at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be carried out via electronic voting.
The telecommunications giant revealed the change to its AGM voting system in a press release, stating that Ooredoo's general shareholders will elect their representative Director to the company board through e-voting.
Ooredoo noted that all shareholders present in person or by proxy will receive one vote each for this item.
The candidates for the Director position are Ibrahim Firushan, Aishath Hussain Manik, Fareeha Shareef and Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed.
Ooredoo's AGM is slated for March 2, at 2030 hrs in Kurumba Maldives.
In addition to the Election of a Director by general shareholders, the AGM agenda includes approving Ooredoo Maldives' Audited Balance Sheet and Auditor's Report, the Directors’ Report, and the proposed dividend of MVR 3.30 per share, for the year 2019.
The appointment of the Auditors for 2020 and their remuneration will also be ratified at the AGM.
