Local airline Flyme commenced seasonal operations from capital Male to Gaafu Dhaal atoll Kaadehdhoo island on Monday.
The airline’s operator Villa Air, which is a subsidiary of local tycoon and Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim’s Villa Group, said in a statement that these seasonal flights will operated until the end of January 2017.
Villa Air is offering special fares to the domestic Kaadhedhoo Airport operated by the company. While airline tickets for Kaadehdhoo are sold at a rate of MVR 888, passengers can also purchase tickets inclusive of ferry fares to the islands of Madaveli, Hoadedhoo and Thinadhoo in the same atoll for MVR 1,010.
Flyme currently operates daily scheduled flights to Alif Dhaal atoll Maamigili island and Baa atoll Dharavandhoo island via two ATR 72-500 aircrafts seating 68 passengers each.
