Telecom giant Ooredoo Maldives on Wednesday announced the appointment of Suresh Kalpathi Chidambaram as the new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director.
In a press statement, Ooredoo stated that Chidambaram was appointed as CFO and Executive Director to the Board of Directors, in the capacity of a nominee of Wataniya International FZ-LLC, effective from September 17.
Chidambaram achieved a Master of Management Studies from Birla Institute of Science and Technology (B.I.T.S Pilani) and is a member of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India.
With over 30 years of finance experience in various industries, including manufacturing, retail and telecommunications, Chidambaran joined the Ooredoo Group in 2008, where he held the position of Senior Director, Investment Management until 2013.
He also served as the CFO at Ooredoo Global Services prior to his latest appointment.
Ooredoo Maldives congratulated and warmly welcomed the new CFO, expressing confidence that the company will prosper and grow under his leadership and guidance.
