The third instalment of the Maldives Medical and Health Expo opened its doors on Friday at convention centre 'Dharubaaruge'.
According to organiser MV Medicals, the three-day expo, inaugurated by Minister of State for Health Dr Shah Mahir, aims to increase public awareness over the healthcare industry and ease access to world-class medical facilities in the region.
"Maldives is a country with potential for an industry such as medical tourism", said the State Minister.
Visitors to the fair can take part in lucky draws and stand to win special prizes from sponsors and MV Medicals.
In addition to free consultations from service providers, including breast cancer screenings and ultrasound scans.
ADK Hospital and Tree Top Hospital are platinum partners of the expo, in addition to Lanka Hospital and India's Asiri Health and Bangkok Hospital.
Moreover, Maldives Medical Association, SHE Maldives, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment are facilitating the event.
