Ooredoo Maldives called for participation in Ooredoo Color Run and its partnering events scheduled to take place between June 28- 29 in Addu City.

Festivities will begin with a 'Gudi Mahaasamaa' (Kite Festival) from 0800 hrs to 1000 on June 28 at Hithadhoo Stage Area. Open for all, the festival involves several activities suited for families such as kite flying, kite making workshops, children's games and a special display by Maldives Police Services.

Any kits remaining after the Expo will be available for sale at the Kite Festival on a first come, first served basis.

Ooredoo Color Run itself will kick off on the same day at 1530 hrs from Hithadhoo Stage Area and will conclude at 1800 hrs.

Ooredoo Color Run is a five-kilometre run open solely for applicants over the age of six. Each kilometre covered during the run will be rewarded with a burst of colour powder at the colour station. As the run is not a timed event, participants can choose to walk, jog or run to the finish line, where their efforts are celebrated with colour throws, finisher medals and a music show.

Ooredoo also plans to collaborate with Twitsaafu, a volunteer-led cleanup movement, to host an Addu Edition on June 29 from 1600 – 1800 hrs. The opening ceremony will be held at Hithadhoo Stage Area, with clean-up points being spread out across the city.

Twitsaafu began with a single tweet earlier this month and has hosted multiple events in Male’ and Hulhumale’. The event in Addu City marks the initiative's expansion to other areas across Maldives.

The movement aims to solve waste management issues prevalent across Maldives, in order to preserve natural beauty and resources. Additionally, it intends to create a generation that will work towards establishing environment-friendly practices and is mindful of the world around them.

To participate, join the clean-up points in Hithadhoo, Maradhoo Feydhoo and Hulhudhoo Meedhoo. Follow the latest updates via the Twitsaafu Addu Edition Event Page: http://ore.do/twitsaafuenvironment-friendly
