Domestic Airline FlyMe, on Friday, announced the temporary halt of flights to the cities of Addu and Fuvahmulah effective from June 10.

According to the airline, operations were being stopped due to a lack of crew members and pilots. The airline, which is operated by Villa Air, stated that it was already conducting training programmes to solve the issue.

Flyme also stated that the probability of recommencing flights to the two most southernmost cities of Maldives was high.

Operations were also temporarily halted from March 2015 and November 2018 since Flyme initially began scheduling flights to Addu and Fuvahmulah on February 2, 2013.
