Customs said that the products had been found in the luggage of three individuals who had arrived in Maldives from Malaysia on Tuesday.
The total number of seized products reach 2,062, details of which are:
- 1,714 NanoStix
- 200 Terea sticks
- 96 Caliburn cartridges
- 20 Vmate cartridges
- 2 vape flavour liquid bottles
Earlier this month, Customs also seized 400 vape products brought in via a sea freight shipment.
Import of vape products to the Maldives has been banned since December 15 last year, under the Tobacco Control Act.
