Police said another person, a 31 year old man, was arrested in the case today.
A second individual has been arrested for allegedly intimidating with a knife and robbing a shop in Hithadhoo, Addu City yesterday.
Earlier, police arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with a case. He was remanded in custody for 30 days for investigation purposes, according to a police media official.
Police said another person, a 31 year old man, was arrested in the case today.
A CCTV footage circulating on social media, shows two men entering the shop, one armed with an iron rod and the other with a knife intimidating the shopkeeper and robbing him of his money.
In the video, after the robbery, the shopkeeper is seen with the iron rod in hand, chasing after the suspects.
Police said that they are investigating the incident.
