A new species of fish has once again been discovered in the Maldives.
The fish was discovered at about depths of 100 to 125 meters, where the sunlight filtering into the sea fades.
Marine Journal Maldives said yesterday that this fish was discovered through research by foreign scientists in collaboration with the Maldives Marine Research Centre. The fish was discovered in the areas from Ari Atoll to the south of Faafu atoll.
