The Sports Ministry had concluded not to award any prize money for Presidents Club Champions when Valencia had triumphed the championship in 2022. Despite this, the Ministry had proceeded to award MVR 500,000 to Maziya for achieving victory during the 2023 President's Club Championship. The government had always practiced awarding Presidents Club champions with prize money prior to this.
