In the past month alone, Fenaka has not received MVR 47 million in payments from government agencies and companies. The corporation said that MVR 178 million remains outstanding for electricity bills over a year old, with MVR 75 million owed from unpaid bills accrued within the past year.
While the government has significant outstanding dues owed to Fenaka, the corporation owes MVR 3.7 million to private companies, with bills more than a year overdue amounting to a staggering MVR 2.1 billion.
