Maldives' 'Seaweed' Ahmed Latheef and Ali Adam Manik ('Thaalhafili' Alibe) have won the Over 60 category of the Istanbul Veterans Table Tennis Association's International TT Championship being held in Bodrum, Turkey.
Maldives' 'Seaweed' Ahmed Latheef and Ali Adam Manik ('Thaalhafili' Alibe) have won the Over 60 category of the Istanbul Veterans Table Tennis Association's International TT Championship being held in Bodrum, Turkey.
Alibe' earned second place in Over 60 Singles Category and Latheef won third place in Over 65 Category.
In the Bodrum Friendship Tournament held from October 7 to 12, Latheef and Alibe' won the championship in Over 60s category through facing off against Turkey's Attila Tesdan and Bactus Aidorgan and scoring 1-3.
The tournament saw over 150 players from Maldives, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Georgia and Denmark contesting.
Latheef is the former President of the TT Association of Maldives, with Alibe' having served as an Executive Committee Member.
