Ajfan International Badminton Academy (AIBA) has announced the academy's 'AIBA Junior Challenge 2024', which will be held starting from 28th November until 1st December.
Ajfan International Badminton Academy (AIBA) has announced the academy's 'AIBA Junior Challenge 2024', which will be held starting from 28th November until 1st December.
According to the academy, the tournament is focused on players training in the Malé region, including those in the national junior team, Youth Development Programme (YDP), and various academies.
The tournament is open to players in the age categories of under 13, under 15, under 17 and under 19.
Interested athletes are to contact AIBA for participation.
Other activities recently carried out by AIBA include:
- Mindset Mastery Programme which is aimed to develop champion mindsets among academy athletes. This programme is carried out through engaging activities.
- Naifaru Open 2024: AIBA athletes participated in the Naifaru Open 2024, winning multiple medals and trophies in the under 19, under 17 and under 13 categories.
- The academy hosted the AIBA Open Junior Championship 2024 from 15th to 117th February which saw a record-breaking participation of 280 pariticpants in a single tournament.
-Conducted multiple international camps during school holidays in India, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. A total of 30 students participated in these enriching camps over a span of 21 days.
- Eydhafushi Badminton Tournament 2024, where AIBA players showcased their talent at the Eydhafushi Badminton Tournament 2024.
- Hosted the AIBA Internal Tournament for academy kids on November 15 and 22, with over 100 kids participating in this exciting event.
The academy is also planning further trainings abroad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Colombo, Sri Lanka in December during school holidays.
