Athama Abdul Latheef passed away while he was receiving treatment at ADK Hospital at 94 years of age.
He led the Athama Hajj Group for decades, an agency which organized Hajj pilgrimages for Maldivian pilgrims.
In 1991, Athama Abdul Latheef was presented the Special Award for Service to the Community by the State in recognition of his work.
