Police have said that the body was discovered in the sea adjacent to the Hulhumale' Fire Station.
The body has now been taken to the Hulhumale' Hospital.
No further details have been disclosed as of yet.
An injured man was found in the sea in Male' near Dharumavantha Hospital last week. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but later succumbed to injuries.
Swimming is prohibited in the area where he was found and it is believed that he had been injured through hitting the propeller of a passing boat.
