About 5000 complaints have been received so far for the flat recipients' list published in February as the deadline for complaint submission approaches.

Initially, the complaint window for flat recipients' list was due to end on March 31. However, as the last third of Ramadan were declared public holidays, the deadline was extended till 12pm tonight.

A Housing Ministry official said that as of now, 4,850 complaints have been received. These are 3,565 complaints related to three bedroom flats and 1,285 complaints regarding two bedroom flats.

426 of these complaints were submitted in the form of letters at the ministry's counter.

The ministry has said that they are reviewing and addressing the complaints submitted. Complaints submitted by those deemed ineligible will also be reviewed, with information rechecked from related institutions, and if they are then deemed eligible, then solutions will be provided for them as well, the ministry has said.

The reviewed list of recipients published by this government includes 1,820 persons as eligible to receive flats. Of these, 1,423 are eligible to receive three bedroom flats, and 397 are eligible for two bedroom flats.
