Ooredoo to install air conditioning and do renovation work at Hulhumale' Grand Mosque ahead of the month of Ramadan.
Ooredoo will be installing air conditioning and conducting renovation work at the Hulhumalé Masjid Al-Sheikh Qasim Bin Al-Thani (Hulhumalé Grand Mosque) before the upcoming Ramadan month.
Ooredoo stated that this work is being done in collaboration with the NGO Qatar Charity.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held last night in Doha by Ooredoo's CEO and MD Khalid Al Hamadi and Qatar Charity's Chief Marketing Officer Ahmed Fakhroo. Ooredoo Chairperson Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari also attended the ceremony.
The Hulhumalé Grand Mosque has a capacity for more than 1,800 people. The mosque was opened in 2006.
Ooredoo said that renovation work will begin very soon. The company stated that the work will be completed before Ramadan. They also said that arrangements will be made to ensure minimal disruption to mosque-goers during the renovation period.
CEO Khalid said that it is a great honor for the company to carry out renovation work on Hulhumalé's oldest mosque.
"We hope that this work will bring benefits to our community both during this blessed month and afterward," said Ooredoo's CEO.
