Return tickets to it's first destination, Chengdu, China is priced at USD 688 (MVR 10,610). The first flight to Chendgu is scheduled for January 22.
Return tickets to Beijing is priced at USD 788 (MVR 12,151), while return tickets to Shanghai are at USD 777 (MVR 11,981).
Flights to Beijing will commence on January 24, and to Shanghai from January 27.
All passengers will be granted a baggage allowance of 40 kg.
The A330 was brought to Maldives on Monday last week. It has the capacity to carry 260 passengers, and offers business, premium economy and economy class seats. It also has a cargo capacity of 10 tonnes.
With the acquisition of this flight, Maldivian's fleet has now increased to 25 planes. Currently, Maldivian flies to 29 destinations. In 2024, Maldivian operated 50,000 flights, carrying 1 million passengers.
