State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has selected employees who will have the opportunity to perform Hajj and Umrah this year at the company’s expense.

According to the company, 102 employees applied for this year's Hajj pilgrimage, with 84 qualifying. For Umrah, 218 employees applied, and 215 were eligible.

Previously, STELCO provided the opportunity for one male and one female employee from each section to perform Hajj and Umrah.

However, last year, the policy was revised to allow two male and one female employee to be selected for each pilgrimage.

Employees selected for Hajj this year:

- Ahmed Waheed – Transmission and Distribution Department

- Hassan Zareer – Kaafu Atoll Kaashidhoo Power Station

- Aminath Jaleel – Procurement Department

Employees selected for Umrah through the draw:

- Bunyaamin Mohamed Naseer – Villingili District Power Station

- Ahmed Musthafa – Villingili District Power Station

- Shifra Ilham – Human Resources and Training Department

STELCO offers this opportunity to employees who have served the company for more than 15 years. Those with over five years of service are eligible to enter the draw for Umrah sponsorship.
