Police are currently investigating the incident that occurred during a football match at Galolhu Stadium yesterday evening. While no arrests have been made yet, the investigation is underway.

The clash erupted in the last 10 minutes of the second division football tournament between Kuda Henveiru and Victory, resulting in an attack on their coach, Sobah Mohamed Ibrahim. Supporters of Kuda Henveiru entered the compound area of the ground after the 82nd minute, escalating tensions and leading to an assault on Sobah.

As a consequence of the violence, yesterday's match couldn't be concluded. Approximately 25 minutes after it was called off, match officials deliberated on whether to proceed with the last 10 minutes.

The altercation began when Mohamed Hajim Riffath of Kuda Henveiru was caught by Anatoly for a foul, which prompted Anatoly to deliberately kick him. The situation intensified when referee Mohamed Javiz opted to issue a yellow card instead of a red card, sparking controversy. Kuda Henveiru had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the referee's decisions.

Additional police personnel were deployed to the ground to assist in maintaining order after the outbreak of violence.
