The two men arrested in connection with vandalism at the "Let's Coffee" cafe in Male' on Thursday have been remanded for a period of five days.
The suspects are accused of entering the premises, damaging property, and threatening employees.
A video circulating on social media shows three men entering the cafe', located on Haveeree Hingun. Police arrested two men on Monday, identified as Ahmed Thaufeeq, 31, from Gaafu Dhaalu atoll Dhavvadhoo, and Asadulla Hathim, 44, from Baa atoll Thulhaadhoo.

The men were remanded in custody for five days after being presented before the court yesterday. According to the Criminal Court's remand order, the suspects requested to proceed with legal counsel.
The video footage shows the suspects vandalizing the cafe’s decor and making statements like, "This is Dhivehiraajje [Maldives], and such things cannot happen here." Foreign employees at the cafe captured the incident on video, with the suspects reportedly threatening them to delete the footage.
