Investigation into how Somalians on dinghy came into Maldives territory

Police have commenced an investigation to determine how the Somalians found yesterday stranded at sea in a dinghy came into Maldivian waters.

The three Somalians were found by Coast Guard outside Fuvahmulah yesterday and handed over to Police.

Police said that information regarding the three individuals will be shared with relevant authorities and appropriate action will be taken.
