Parliament approves Ameeza as Deputy Commission of Taxation at MIRA

Parliament has approved the appointment of Fathimath Ameeza as Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

The decision was reached with a unanimous vote of 64 members.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu proposed the names of two individuals to the post following the conclusion of the current Deputy Commissioner General, Asma Shafeeu’s term, on October 31.

Ameeza currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner General of Enforcement at MIRA.
