Concerns have been raised over the deteriorating condition of the existing center, with images of cracked walls and water leaks circulating on social media.
A Quran learning center will be developed in Lhaviyani Atoll Naifaru with the assistance of the Waqf Fund, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has said.
The minister noted that a significant number of youth in Naifaru have memorized the Quran. He said the decision to support the center was made following a request for resources to improve its facilities.
During the Hafiz graduation ceremony held recently, four students from Naifaru were among the 24 who received certificates for memorizing the Quran.
However, concerns have been raised over the deteriorating condition of the existing center, with images of cracked walls and water leaks circulating on social media.
The Waqf Fund was established by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to facilitate the construction and repair of mosques, as well as to provide necessary resources for other religious initiatives.
