Addu City Council said that Imad was appointed on Sunday.
The post, which is appointed by the Civil Service Commission, was previously filled by Ahmed Shujau.
Imad was the CEO of NDA from November 1, 2022 to July 3, 2024.
He was dismissed from the position through the unanimous votes of all board members in the first meeting held after the change in management.
They said then that he was dismissed based on the results of an assessment they conducted, which showed the work of NDA was not up to speed.
A City Council Secretary General receives a monthly salary of MVR 20,500 and MVR 15,000 as executive allowance.
