The children involved in the incident, a12-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy are in serious condition according to Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital.
Two children who were electrocuted while playing outside in Raa atoll, Ungoofaaru (located in northern Maldives) are currently undergoing medical treatment, Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital said today.
Senior Customer Relations Officer of the hospital, Hassan Fazeel, told Mihaaru News that the two children were taken to the hospital at around 13:40 hrs today. An 18-year-old who passed out after witnessing the scene was also rushed to the hospital.
"Two children who were playing outside near the park area were electrocuted by a pool formed in the area, electrified by a streetlight pipe," he said.
