Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Patricia Espinosa addressed a letter to the Maldivian government, complimenting the archipelago’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), submitted as a country ratifying the UN framework convention on climate change.
According to the Ministry of Environment, Maldives received praise for updating the NDC even with the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
