Coco Collection announced Monday that a Summer Wellness Programme, led by two yogis and a tai chi master, will be held at luxury resort Coco Bodu Hithi during the months of June and July.
Yoga master and YouTuber Cat Meffan will commence the programme with three vinyasa yoga sessions at sunset on June 13, 15 and 17. The classes conducted by the UK-born blogger are structured to be playful and dynamic.
The Summer Wellness Programme will continue under the instruction of Master Shanshan who will conduct sunrise sessions on Tai Chi, the mind-body practice which originated in China as a martial art. The classes, scheduled for June 27, 29 and July 1, aim to help participants improve strength, balance, and breathing.
Local yogi Shifana Mufeed, also renowned as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, will conduct two meditative yoga classes at sunset on July 5 and 12. Shifana founded a yoga centre in the capital city of Male' under the name Ayoga Fitness in 2011.
Coco Collection, which manages Coco Bodu Hithi, urged guests to utilize the Summer Wellness Programme as an opportunity to "relax, unwind and gain some interesting new skills".
