Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) announced job opportunities for 250 Maldivian workers at its project sites across Maldives.
According to the company, salaries for these individuals would be between MVR 10,000 and MVR 25,000.
The job openings include those for heavy vehicle operators, welders, carpenters, masons, mechanics and engineers.
MTCC revealed that interviews for potential candidates would be publicly open between 1400 to 1700 hrs from March 4 to 11 at the MTCC ferry terminal in Male' and Hulhumale'.
Interested individuals residing outside the capital can contact their respective island councils to participate in the interview process.
Overall, MTCC is currently managing 50 projects, with a further 21 projects scheduled to commence shortly.
General Manager of MTCC's Human Resource Division Fathmath Jabin stated that recruiting Maldivians was difficult even though several posts are allocated for locals.
Despite noting that the majority of its 2000 member workforce consisted of expatriate workers, MTCC revealed that efforts were underway to increase the number of local staff.
