Qatar Airways, flydubai, Saudia, Kuwait Airways, and Oman Air are among five Middle Eastern carriers that have announced special shuttle flights to Doha during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 later this year.
These flights, which are only accessible to FIFA ticket holders, will allow fans to travel to Qatar for a match and then return the same day.
In addition, the airlines are collaborating to eliminate friction and boost capacity for fans flying to the competition.
FlyDubai will operate 30 daily return flights between Dubai and Doha, and Oman Air will operate 24 daily return flights between Doha and Muscat. Saudia will offer 20 daily rotations to Riyadh and Jeddah, while Kuwait Airways will offer 10 round-trip flights from Doha to Kuwait City.
The airlines will set their own prices for the shuttle flights, and information will be available on their own websites.
Qatar Airways will reduce its frequency to several other nations during the World Cup, replacing them with flights for fans, in order to help enhance Qatar's flying capacity.
