Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), on Saturday, stated that they would arrange free airport bus transfers for pilgrims and their families.

Pilgrims will depart to Saudi Arabia from July 21 to August 5.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL) have also arranged transport to and from the airport.

“The buses will depart from Male’ bus terminal. The service will be free”, said MTCC's Head of Transport Department Mohamed Mahjoob.

MTCC and MACL declared that contrary to previous years, special transportation arrangements will be made available for pilgrims, with specialized ferries and buses.

Ministry of Islamic Affairs urged pilgrims in capital city Male’ and Hulhumale’ to arrive at the airport four hours before departure of their flights, while urging pilgrims in the suburb of Villimale’ to arrive four hours and 15 minutes before the departure of their flights.
