Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula’s association ASBA (Association for Social Benefits and Aids) is organizing a workshop on mental health for doctors and nurses.
The workshop is to be held at Paradise Island Resort, with approximately 70 to 100 doctors and nurses joining the sessions.
The "Mental Fitness for High Performers" workshop is in line with the objective of ASBA to break the "Mental Health Stigma" among public health workers of all levels. Founder Nahula affirms that the workshop will also be led by specialists to give an in-depth overview on breaking the stigma.
The first session of the workshop will be conducted by Asiyath Nasooha, Northumbria University of the UK alumni, with a Masters in Occupational and Organizational Psychology. Nasooha’s background of seven years in the public sector plus consultancy work as an Organizational Psychologist is a strength of the workshop.
The second session will be conducted by Fathimath Shifaza, who has a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management. She has contributed her expertise as an Educationalist for over 10 years.
ASBA stated that they intend to have other workshops like this in the near future.
