Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Monday, met with senior government officials regarding the expansion of existing therapeutic services for people with disabilities to all areas of Maldives.
During the meeting held at the President's Office, Vice President Naseem expressed the necessity of granting such individuals convenient access to treatment and services aimed to provide a better quality of life at a time when tertiary healthcare is being developed across the country.
The Vice President also highlighted the importance of incorporating these services into the education system and monitoring the development of children with disabilities between infanthood and the age of five.
Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen, Minister of Education Dr Aishath Ali and Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Shidhatha Shareef attended the meeting. Senior executives from the Department of Inclusive Education, National Social Protection Agency, and Aasandha also participated in the discussion.
