Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, on Thursday, extended the form submission deadline for the government allocated 7,000 flats until August end.
Housing ministry announced 7,000 flats under the government initiated housing scheme, Hiyaa Project. The initial deadline for the application was set to July 31.
Minister of Housing Dr. Mohamed Muizzu noted over 50,000 applications have been submitted to date. The minister revealed that the deadline was extended to provide enough time for everyone to submit their applications to the ministry, as several applications are still pending.
The minister further revealed that application form retrievals and submissions will be carried out at the housing ministry starting next week. All procedures of application for the housing scheme were earlier carried out at Dharubaaruge convention centre.
