A 32-year-old man, Ali Ameen from Male' has been arrested for allegedly smuggling drugs into the Maldives via FedEx.
The arrest followed a package intercepted by customs, which was then handed over to the police. An operation led by the Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit on January 7 lead to his arrest during a controlled delivery operation.
