HDC orders removal of vessels from Thilafushi lagoon within 7 days

Vessel owners have been given a period of 7 working days from Aug 28 to remove their vessels. If they do not comply, the vessels will be handled in accordance with the policy regarding abandoned vessels in the Thilafushi lagoon, as stated in the announcement.

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has issued a notice requiring all vessels anchored in the Thilafushi lagoon to be removed within seven days due to ongoing sloping work.

According to the announcement, land reclamation at Thilafushi has been completed, and sloping work is currently underway. HDC stated that the presence of vessels in the lagoon is hindering the sloping process, prompting the notice for their removal.

Vessel owners have been given a period of seven working days from August 28 to remove their vessels. If the boats are not removed within this period, they will be handled in accordance with the policy regarding abandoned vessels in Thilafushi lagoon as stated in the announcement.
