Maldivian music artist active in the resort music industry, Ahmed Adhuham has been offered the chance to sing for a record label in India, Vindictive Records.

A song featuring Adhuham's English rap, titled 'Hope' was also released by the record label last week. This song is the original work of Indian music artist, Manu Rai.

Speaking with Mihaaru News, Adhuham stated that the song was sung solely to feature him as an artist and shared that a five-year contract has been signed with the label.

"I met them at a private resort gig while they were here on vacation. Then I was hired for private gig for them in Thailand and received this chance. Immediately after that gig was over, they told me to contact them; they hadn't told me what it was for even then," said Adhuham.

The contract Adhuham had signed with the label agrees on releasing nine original songs with music videos each year.

Adhuham revealed that he had realized he was offered this chance after flying to India under their expense upon an invitation. Adhuham had recorded his first song at the label in October last year, after which he flew to India for two months in March and shot videos for a song.

The music artist said that he will be releasing six Hindi songs and three English songs this year and assured that the lyrics and composition of each song will be his own work.

Adhuham's rap part in the newly released Manu Rai original, Hope, was also written by him.

Adhuham said that his first original song under Vindictive Records will be released at the end of this month.
