Urbanco has expanded the space allocated for water sports in Hulhumalé.
A total of 12 plots of land on the east and west sides of Hulhumalé 1 have been designated for water sports activities. Urbanco announced on Wednesday, May 17, that it has increased the allowed area for water sports by 20 feet.
The purpose of this expansion is to enhance the services offered to the public in these areas, including the provision of public toilets and an outdoor shower for visitors.
Urbanco emphasized that the allottee is responsible for the security, cleaning, and maintenance of the area leased to them.
Previously, the company had permitted water sports operators to offer takeaway services.
Urbanco is dedicated to creating a community-friendly environment in all areas of Hulhumalé, as it is a popular destination for families and friends from the Malé City area to visit during weekends and holidays.
