Abdulla Thasleem (Delio) wins the biggest Kite Boarding Championship in Maldives, organised by Raalhugudi.
The final match of the tournament was held on February 8, in Kaafu Maafushi. With a total of 31 participants, the championship was carried out in three heats.
The youngest participant was a 12 year old.
Second place was won by Hassan Mahir (Huntey) while Mamnoon Niyaz (Mannu) won third place.
Abdulla Thasleem won MVR 15,000 while MVR 10,000, and MVR 5,000 were given for winners of the second place and third place respectively.
Raalhugudi noted this competition was different from similar water sports competitions held in the Maldives in the past. An official from the organisers said their structure was different while noting that the prize money offered was also significantly higher than previous articles.
